Welcome to our website which is set up to support sufferers of Aspergers Syndrome, their parents and carers especially in the County Galway region of Ireland.
Aspergers Action Galway (AAG) was set up in 2006 as a voluntary parents support group. Our aims and objectives are as follows:
- To support, advise and provide information on all aspects of Aspergers Syndrome (AS) especially to affected individuals, parents, teachers, employers and health professionals etc. through an effective support network.
- To promote social inclusion for AS individuals.
- To identify the ongoing needs of and solutions for AS individuals and their parents/carers.
- To represent the interests and needs of AS individuals at all levels of policy and planning activity.
- To co-ordinate and assist where possible, the activities of all relative organisations involved in providing support and services to AS individuals and their carers.
To achieve the above aims we hold regular members meetings to facilitate networking, organise talks, provide respite activities for families. We also lobby the HSE and other state agencies for services for our membership. We are entirely run by volunteers who are either parents or people with a special interest in helping those with Aspergers Syndrome.

Parent's meetings are an opportunity to discuss ideas, share information, support one another or just have a chat...
Parents of Children and teenagers with Aspergers meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 8pm in the Menlo Hotel (We are usually in the area of the conservatory).
Parents who are not yet members are also welcome to come along.
